Comparing

The AV-NX-2 can act as a master in a 2 Wire connection and can be powered from a PoE Switch.  In turn the power will also be sent to the distance end powering the AV-NC-2 acting as a slave and also send PoE on to the associated end point.

In the case of the AV-NC-2 it can act as master or slave.  However, the AV-NC-2 cannot be powered by PoE and must have a PoE power supply at the master end.  This will supply both the 2 Wire devices and the end point device.
